Job Description

10163 - Accounting Assistant
Location: Leicester

Summary of Role:
Support the reporting, accounting and analysis of the UK and Swiss Head Office accounts.


Job Requirements:
·Undertake general accounting processes, including recharges, accruals and prepayments, cost-centre reviews for small BU,
·Carry out monthly review of Balance sheet control reconciliations and investigate any reconciling items to clear in a timely manner or explain,
·Weekly review of Bank reconciliations,
·Responsibility for PG reporting and preparation of Site Input Sheets for HQs
·Analyse aged Intercompany debt, drive the process to minimize and clear aged balances
·Review payment selections and prepare manual payment request forms for HQs, approve payments on a regular basis,
·Review and code of Trade and ICO invoices,
·Work closely with corporate/internal and external auditors to provide all reconciliations in to set deadlines and respond to audit queries in a timely manner,
·Assist on European finance projects as and when required,
·Respond to any adhoc requests and occasional weekend/bank holiday working can be required dependent on Emerson Financial reporting calendar,
·Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.

Qualifications:
·ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified or studying towards professional qualification,
·Experience, of working in a large corporate environment,
·Experience working in a matrix structure would be an advantage,
·Good Excel skills required Professional written & verbal communication skills.

Package:
·Salary: circa £22,000 - £28,000 (subject to experience)
·Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm (full-time),
·Holiday: 25 days + STAT
