Accounts Assistant. Our client, based in Leicester is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a contract basis to cover Maternity. Ideally being available in the next few weeks, you role will be the following;
Position Role: To be responsible for all aspects of the Purchase Ledger and control of Bank Accounts. To process weekly payroll (outsourced), bank management, bank reconciliations and royalty returns. To assist with other financial reporting as required.
*Enter all purchase invoices on Sage
*Update and maintain the Purchase Ledger for all suppliers, including setting up new suppliers.
*Ensure all invoices are authorised by appropriate manager
*Pay suppliers to terms
*Deal with all supplier and nominal payments, including review of suggested payments list.
*Processing all payments via online banking/cheques/cash/DC's/transfers etc.
*Control of Bills of Exchange, dealing with approval and releasing for payment.
*Reviewing monthly list of trade creditors and advise on irregularities.
*Liaising weekly with sister companies to ensure ledger and loan balances are always in agreement
*Providing daily report on bank position.
*Dealing with monthly bank reconciliations for all currencies and trust accounts.
*Control of all company credit cards/expense sheets/Mileage claims and associated reporting (Travel Accrual)
*Ensure all bank transactions are correctly entered on Sage
*Reconcile supplier statements every month
*Weekly payroll processing/Pension Reconciliations
*Maintain Fixed Assets Register
*Complete and submit monthly EC Sales List and Intrastat reports
*Manage completion of quarterly royalty returns
*Print Cost Analysis
*Provide retail analysis for on-line retailer
