Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

What's the role?
To prepare & analyze the weekly and monthly accounts and associated reports, whilst driving improvements with key stakeholders within the relevant functions in both operational and overhead cost center review. To manage cash-flow, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable team, and oversee the finance accountancy business requirements.
·Preparation of weekly accounts and associated reports and trackers
·Weekly trend and variance analysis: Materials, pricing & labour. Highlighting opportunities for improvement.
·Preparation of monthly accounts and reconciliation to weeklies
·Monthly overhead analysis & reviews with cost centre managers
·Preparation of Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
·Business partnering key operational staff to drive performance improvements
·Support with Budgeting and forecasting
·Cash Management
·Daily management of cashflow and cashflow forecasting for the quarter ahead
·Management of the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function through an Accounts Supervisor, ensuring all payments from customers are received when due and all suppliers are paid to terms
·Completion of all external reporting to agreed deadlines to include weekly P&L and monthly board report
·Review and sign off of monthly balance sheet reconciliations highlighting areas for improvement or concern
·Consolidation of business plans, annual budget, periodic forecasts and completion of reporting packs
·Liaison with external bodies to include credit insurers, banks, suppliers, customers, auditors, HMRC and shareholders, holding regular meetings as required
·Completion of statutory requirements including the Annual Returns, statutory accounts in conjunction with external audit partner and tax return in conjunction with external tax partner
·Ensure finance governance and risk management is in place across the business
Experience and Qualification needed:
·Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
·Experience of financial accounting within a manufacturing environment
·Experience of using an ERP system and Microsoft applications, ideally Navision
·Manufacturing Experience Essential
