MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Our client is a large food manufacturer, part of a major group, supplying the quality high street retail market. Employing over 500 people and operating out of a state of the art factory the company has experienced strong growth over the past 20 years.

An opportunity has arisen within its busy Accounts department for an outstanding finance professional. The Management Accountant will be CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified and have a minimum of two years' experience within an FMCG environment. The successful applicant will have a confident approach and first class communication skills.

The Role:

*Responsible for commercial and New Product Development business partnering, producing costings and gross margin analysis.
*Preparation of daily material variance reports
*Reviewing daily labour variance reports
* Preparation of weekly profit & loss management accounts
*Key business partnering and decision making support for the manufacturing team
*Attend production team meetings, providing insight into business performance
*Maintain the bills of material & labour for the standard costing system
*Provide cover for the various reports produced by the finance team
*Produce reconciliations and reports as requested

Skills, Competencies & Qualifications:

*CIMA / ACCA Qualified with 1 - 2 years post qualified experience
* Manufacturing experience an advantage
*Candidates should possess drive, influencing skills and the ability to add value.
*An ability to solve problems using a logical and structured approach is essential.
*A conscientious worker who prides themselves on attention to detail
*Capable of working in a pressurised environment.
*Confident communicator with financial and non-financial staff
*Excellent organisational skills.
*High degree of accuracy.
*Ability to work to tight deadlines.
*Excellent computer skills - Advanced Excel
*Knowledge of ERP systems
