Our client based in Northamptonshire is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Qualified Senior Management Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA to head up the Finance Team for a very successful SME manufacturing company.

A leading manufacturer in their sector who supply high-quality products to a worldwide customer base.


Job Title: Senior Management Accountant

Overall Purpose Role:

To produce of the company Management Accounts and to supervise and organise the finance department to ensure deadlines are achieved.

Responsible to: Managing Director

Direct Reports: 1 Purchase Ledger 1 Sales Ledger

Main Responsibilities:

Production of the Monthly Management Accounts for final sign off by the Managing Director.
*Annual statutory accounts (for CH and HMRC) and Tax computation
*Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
*Stock recs & review of BOM's
*Detailed product profit reports highlighting and correcting any irregularities. Analyse financial data to support management decision making.
*Annual budget forecasts.
*Monthly VAT returns, Intrastate and EC sales list
*Liaise with the Company's Auditors and manage the year-end Audit process.
*Ensure month end procedures are completed within agreed timescales.
*Ensure statutory returns are completed as required.
*Provide support to the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
*Receivables Finance (Invoice Finance) management
*Organise the finance team operations and procedures.
*Develop and monitor the team's objectives and performance.
*Assist and be a mentor to the other members of the finance team.
*Liaise with other departments of the business to improve efficiencies and develop reporting requirements.
*Other ad hoc analysis as required by the Managing Director.

Behaviours, skills and experience:

*Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is essential
*Management Accounts
*Monthly payroll, employment, auto-enrolment, pensions, payroll year end. Sage 50 Payroll experience is advantageous.
*Analytical experience.
*Manufacturing industry experience with stock/inventory knowledge.
*Be able to assist with foreign currency and international payments.
*Must be proficient using Microsoft Office packages.
*Confidence in liaising with departmental stakeholders.
*Management experience.
*Internal and external relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
*Team player who upholds the company values, but also happy to work solitary.
*Excellent communication skills are necessary with production and warehouse re employment, stock movements, discrepancies etc.
