Location: M62 Corridor… operating across North England & Scotland

Summary
Our Client, a growing & long-established manufacturer & distributer based in Northamptonshire, are looking to recruit a Territory Sales Manager on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate would be based in the North of England (M62 corridor would be best).

You will be responsible for projecting & maintaining the company's image, managing & developing your assigned customer account base within the agreed territory & targets. You will be presenting & selling the company's brands / product lines to the appropriate retail base / sectors in line with the agreed strategy. Managing & servicing existing customer base including a mix of multiple retailers, independent retailers & wholesalers various sectors. Training wholesaler, retailer & concessions staff on products and how best to market them to customers. Attend quarterly meetings at Northamptonshire Head Office.


Duties / Responsibilities
1)Achieving Sales Targets
Conduct face-to-face customer meetings to service the account, introducing new lines, maintaining customer satisfaction and generating sales. This level of service should be conducted whilst proactively seeking to open and drive forward with new business opportunities. Servicing and maintaining will involve:

*Being Sales focused & proactive,
*Taking orders for new & existing lines,
*Checking stock-holding & making decisions with shop manager on replenishment of stock/lines,
*Discussing sales figures with shop manager,
*Maintaining the visual presence of in-store products,
*Working with Credit Control team to enable payments & transactions,
*Introducing new product lines,
*Delivering promotional material in line with promotional calendar,
*A constant look-out is maintained for new outlets to sell to in order to meet annual targets.

2)Training Sales Staff of Customers
Training of shop staff is carried out at the request of the customer, you should be proactive in booking training events. The training covers sales skills and product information.

3)Liaison with UK Sales Manager & Head Office
Reporting:
*Submitted weekly call reports to UK Sales Manager/Office showing details for each visit (i.e. customer, location, type of call, sales achieved, training undertaken, comments & observations, competitors' activity),
*Submitting orders to Sales Office staff as required,
*Logging & submission of monthly expenses & Company Credit Card to the UK Sales Manager for authorisation (incl. receipts for mileage & cash expenditure),
*Reporting relevant information to UK Sales Manager as required, and looking out for new product ideas / gaps in the market.

4)UK Trade Exhibitions
Working as a member of the team to:
*Assemble exhibit and set up displays,
*Attend exhibition, meet visiting customers / callers, taking orders,
*Dismantle stand for collection.

5)Maintenance of Company Image
*Cultivate a high-quality level of professionalism both personally and across all aspects of the role (incl. presentation of vehicles, samples & general appearance),
*Deal with all customers in an appropriate & professional manner.


Skills / Experience / Requirements
*Essential experience: comprehensive sales techniques & account management knowledge (retail knowledge desirable),
*Qualifications: Min. O/A-Level incl. English & Maths,
*Full & valid driving licence and you must possess your own transport,
*Excellent communication skills (verbal & written),
*Enthusiastic, organised, enjoys a challenge, good attitude & attention to detail, willing to work necessary hours to get the job done,
*Well-presented / good presentation skills,
*Software: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), proficient with social media.


Salary Package
*Appointment Type: Permanent
*Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (subject to experience)
*Hours: Full-time
*Holiday: 23 + STAT (rising in line with service)
*KPI Bonus: 4%
*Car Allowance: £4,000 per annum + mileage
*4% Pension
