12257 – Accounts Assistant (Part-Time) Job Spec

Location: Melton Mowbray

Summary

Our client – an established logistics firm based in Melton Mowbray – is seeking an experienced all-round Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Checking purchase invoice calculations & VAT, inputting into Sage,
  • Monthly supplier payment runs,
  • Pay ship freights in GBP & EUR + other shipping costs in a timely manner,
  • Supplier statement reconciliations,
  • Inputting sales ledger invoices from database,
  • Dealing with customer queries,
  • Credit control,
  • Releasing goods for collection,
  • Daily bank reconciliations,
  • Weekly stock records in MS Excel, produce monthly rental invoices,
  • Monthly payroll processing.

 

The Right Person

  • Previous all-round accounting experience,
  • Effective communication skills,
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
  • Attention to detail, excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
  • Strong IT skills incl. Sage, MS Excel & Word.

 

Package

  • Appointment Type: Permanent (in-house)
  • Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 full-time-equivalent
  • Hours: Part-Time (15-20hrs per week / 3-full-days to 4/5-part-days)
