Accounts Receivable Clerk
9 month fixed term- either as hourly paid or on a contract basis
What's the role?
The AR Clerk is responsible for supporting the end to end process for allocated customer accounts, ensuring cash is allocated correctly, all invoices queries are resolved promptly, any invalid deductions reclaimed from the customer and all customer related reports and statements are delivered promptly.
There may be some ad hoc administration duties as and when required.
The role joins the team at a busy time and this person has a great opportunity to make a difference to the financial transactions team over the coming months.
What are the main Accountabilities?
Responsible for Processing of Customer Receipts and Allocating Cash:
*Chasing payment for Customer Invoices
*Obtaining remittance advices and allocating customer payments
*Preparing and posting sales deductions journals
*Resolving invoice queries
*Raising adjustments and sundry invoices in response to customer queries
*Ensuring all customer account and transactional information is filed for audit purposes
Responsible for Processing Sales Deductions
*Ensure all sales deductions are logged, chase Account Managers for authorisation of valid claims, code and process on the ERP system once received.
*Ensure all supporting documentation is filed for audit purposes
*Any other Ad Hoc administrational duties as identified by the Financial Transactions Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Numerate and literate with excellent attention to detail
Sales Ledger Clerk experience within busy environment is desired
Experience of processing and allocating Customer Payments
Experience of dealing with stakeholders inside and outside of finance
Good communication skills across the team and externally where appropriate
Willingness to learn and support the wider team with day to day duties
Hourly Rate £13-£14.50 per hour or £25K-26K per annum
Hybrid working possible after training
