12302 – Bookkeeper (Part-Time) Job Spec
Our client – an established and well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leicester – is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their practice team to prepare clients’ accounts on a part-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
⦁ Bookkeeping to trial balance,
⦁ Profit and loss,
⦁ Balance sheet,
· VAT return,
· Processing payments via BACS,
· Year-end processes,
· Dealing with HMRC, keeping up to date with all the necessary legislation
· Liaising with clients, partners & managers to ensure all information is received correctly.
The Right Person
⦁ Previous bookkeeping experience is essential,
⦁ Accountancy Practice experience is preferred, but not essential,
⦁ Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
⦁ Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
⦁ Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
⦁ Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel & Word skills to a good standard. Ideally possess experience using Sage Line 50, Sage Desktop, Sage for Cloud or Quickbooks.
⦁ Appointment Type: Permanent
⦁ Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 full-time-equivalent (subject to experience)
⦁ Hours: Part-Time (20-30hrs PW) – based in-house
⦁ Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
