Job Description

Our client - an established manufacturer & distributor based in Leicester - is seeking experienced raw materials Buyer to join their purchasing department on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of raw materials, delivering an effective purchasing service for the business and assisting in day-to-day procurement activities. Key duties include:

*Assisting the Senior Buyer with purchasing activities,
*Sourcing & purchasing of raw materials,
*Negotiating prices,
*Managing relationships with existing suppliers & sourcing new suppliers,
*Negotiate & manage service contracts in line with business requirements.

The Right Person
*Part-qualified OR qualified CIPS,
*5-years+ in a buying role, experience of sourcing & managing raw material supplies,
*Experience of working in a highly regulated industry (FMCG / pharmaceuticals / healthcare),
*Effective communication skills (written & verbal English),
*Proactive with excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
*Ability to strictly adhere to procedures with a high level of attention to detail,
*Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Office to an advanced standard.
