Financial Controller Leicestershire c.£50000 + Benefits

Our client, a highly successful SME company, turnover in excess of £20 million, is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in the Management team, as this company continues its' impressive growth.

It's not just the numbers

It is looking for an ambitious, driven, degree-level, accountant, CIMA or ACCA or ACA qualified Accountant, to take on the highly visible, energetic and influential role of Financial Controller within the Management Team, reporting to the board, based at its' headquarters in Leicestershire.

You will have previously worked in a growing SME environment and demonstrated a hands-on approach that such an environment demands. You are strong inter-personally and are comfortable embracing change in a period of high growth. You possess strong leadership skills and are highly influential and command respect amongst colleagues.
You demonstrate sound business judgement and have a communication style that allows you to build successful working relationships.
Its Financial and Management Accounts team is running a new enterprise-wide system providing an increasing focus on commercial accounting, forecasting and business analysis.

Leadership
*Financially lead, influence, motivate, communicate with and contribute to the Management Team.
*Lead, organise, motivate, coach, develop and provide strategic direction for the finance team.

Accounting
*Facilitate the clear, timely and accurate preparation, analysis, and communication of flash forecasts, financial statements, monthly management accounts and audits.
*Adopt, develop, refresh and communicate key financial performance metrics.
*Pro-actively discern, analyse and communicate variances.


Relationships
*Manage the asset financing stream and the funders that provide it.
*Manage external stakeholders - auditors, funders, bankers, insurers.
*Ensure that the business always gets a 'joined-up' coherent, commercial view of financials.

Outstanding leadership skills, including listening, delegating, coaching and development.
Advanced delegation skills, cascading ownership and personal accountability for deliverables in a high-performance culture.

Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel spreadsheets, modelling and business analytics.
Brilliant problem-solving and decision-making attributes leading to astute business judgement.
