12277 – Internal Sales / Account Manager Job Spec

Location: Leicester

Summary

Our client – a large, established B2B distributer based in Leicester – is seeking an enthusiastic & driven Sales Account Manager to grow & develop within their sales team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a newly created position in response to the growth / restructuring of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Quoting & assisting distributer customers (from small independents to large wholesalers) via phone & email,
  • Build & develop new, effective relationships as well as with existing key customers / stakeholders,
  • Reactivate older / lapsed accounts and promote new / relevant products & services,
  • Booking in goods, raising queries / debit notes with manufacturers,
  • FedEx PODs & invoice approval (+ debits / claims for late and / or lost shipments),
  • Updating purchase orders with up-to-date delivery dates,
  • Any other duties as required once fully trained (full product training will be provided).

 

The Right Person

  • Previous sales experience preferred, but not essential providing you can demonstrate the right attitude and drive to develop a career in sales,
  • You must be a confident, hardworking, enthusiastic individual eager & willing to learn,
  • Effective English communication skills are essential (+ excellent, personable telephone manner),
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving team,
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
  • This is an in-house role, so a UK driving licence & own transport is preferred, but not essential at the early stage. As you progress, there may be a requirement to travel,
  • Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word skills to a good standard.

 

Package

  • Appointment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 (subject to experience)
  • Hours: Full-Time (in-house)
  • Holiday 20-Days + Bank Holidays (rising to 25-Days in line with service)
