12334 –Legal Cashier / Accounts Assistant - Contract
Location: Leicester City Centre
Summary
Our Client – a respected firm of solicitors based in Leicester – is seeking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier / Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time contract basis for 9 – 12 months.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Purchase ledger (checking/ processing / payments)
- Billing (checking and Processing)
- Credit card receipts / payments / processing
- Land Registry Statements
- Bank reconciliations
- Daily Banking – (processing entries - not physically visiting the bank)
- Internal expenses
- Stationery ordering
- Chaps payments
- Dealing with completions / related postings (client and office ledgers)
- Plus other general accounting tasks
The Right Person
- A background working as an Accounts Assistant is essential,
- Experience of working as a Legal Cashier is desirable,
- Effective communication skills & telephone manner is essential,
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
- Excellent planning, organisation and deadline time keeping skills,
- Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook skills to an advanced standard.
Package
- Appointment Type: Maternity Contract
- Length of Contract: 9 – 12 Months
- Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 subject to experience
- Hours: Full Time 9:00am – 5:30pm Mon-Friday
- Holiday: 23 Days + Bank Holidays + Xmas Closure
- Auto-Enrolment Pension
