12009 – Payroll & Accounts Assistant Job Spec

Location: Loughborough

Summary of the Role

Our client based in Loughborough is seeking an experienced payroll & accounts assistant to join their busy team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the accounts manager, our client is seeking individuals with a positive, enthusiastic attitude, able to provide efficient support whilst demonstrating attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collection & recording of timeclock & day reports,
  • Resolution of timesheet queries with line managers,
  • Be the first point of contact for payroll queries,
  • Assistance with payroll processing, i.e. leavers, starters, holidays, SPP, SMP etc,
  • Maintaining payroll master MS Excel spreadsheets,
  • Maintenance of staff personnel files,
  • Preparation of sales invoices,
  • Liaison with agency partners to resolve invoicing discrepancies,
  • General assistance & cover to other areas of the accounts team as required.

 

The Right Person

  • We’re ideally looking for candidates on short notice / immediately available, but may wait for the right person on notice,
  • Strong knowledge & experience using Sage 50 & MS Excel with the duties list above,
  • Excellent communication skills – liaising with all levels of the business / external suppliers,
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines,
  • Comfortable working independently, extremely organised & able to effectively manage workload,
  • An excellent attention to detail, ensuring speed & accuracy.

 

Package

  • Appointment Type: Permanent, in-house
  • Salary: £21,840 - £23,920 per annum / £10.50 – £11.50ph (subject to experience)
  • Hours: Full-Time  
  • Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
