Payroll Administrator

Location Anstey

Office based Role

Salary £26K - £30K

Our client – a successful manufacturing organisation based in Anstey – is seeking motivated Payroll Administrator to join their Finance Team on a full-time permanent basis.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately process the end-to-end payroll for all employees using Bright Pay software( Training provided).
  • Ensure that payroll is completed in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines.
  • Calculate salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions as per company policies and legal requirements.
  • Calculate and process PAYE, National Insurance, and other statutory deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, including P45s, P60s, and P11Ds using Bright Pay.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations, including auto-enrolment for pensions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times.
  • Generate payroll reports using Bright Pay for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist the finance team with various tasks, such as month-end and year-end close processes related to payroll.

  • Ad hoc Administrative Duties


Essential:

  • Min 5 years payroll experience
  • Payroll Administration experience essential
  • An understanding of UK payroll practices/procedures, including all legislative requirements.
  • Ability to perform payroll calculations, including family leaves & tax calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to keep calm and stay focussed under pressure.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and proficient user of Excel.

Appointment Type: Permanent

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (subject to experience)

Hours: Full-Time (in-house)
