11769 – Payroll Consultant (FTC)
Location: Remote Working
Summary
Our Client – a West-Midlands based PLC firm – is seeking a highly experienced Payroll Consultant to assist them on a full-time Fixed-Term-Contract basis (minimum 6 months). Working remotely, you will be responsible for bringing the companies’ entire payroll function (circa 400 employees) in-house from their current external resource.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing SAP,
- Overseeing day-to-day payroll,
- Ensure accurate calculation of various elements of payment types incl. bonuses, salary increases, overtime, sick & maternity / paternity pay,
- Thorough checking of monthly payroll reports,
- Thorough understanding of payroll system to run reports,
- Setting monthly payroll deadlines, ensuring they are met,
- Providing payroll reports for HR,
- Handle and respond to queries relating to payroll,
- Implementing & checking salary sacrifice schemes as required,
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained in house,
- Ensuring the correct methods of authorisation are followed with regards to pay changes,
- Working knowledge of SAP through a previous implementation is essential.
The Right Person
- Immediately available / someone on short notice would be preferred,
- Proven experience as a Payroll Consultant… preferably with experience of transitioning to new providers,
- Detailed knowledge of PAYE, SMP, SSP, SPP, SHPP,
- Knowledge of pension auto-enrolment regulations,
- Strong IT skills – SAP
Package
- Appointment Type: Fixed-Term-Contract (min. 6 months)
- Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (subject to experience) / £300 – £375 Per Day as a Ltd Contractor,
- Hours: Full-Time
- Holiday: 25 Days + Bank Holiday
- NEST Pension
