Job Description

Our client - an established retailer based near Oakham, Rutland - is seeking an experienced accounts payable clerk to join their expanding team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

*Be first point of contact for all relevant queries, and resolving issues,
*Authorising supplier invoices,
*Matching supplier invoices to GRN's on EPOS system,
*Posting invoices & credit notes onto system,
*Setting up & maintaining new & existing supplier accounts,
*Reconcile supplier statements,
*Prepare invoices for payment runs,
*Cashbook postings & reconciliations
*Filing invoices.

The Right Person
*ESSENTIAL: Due to location, you must possess a UK driving licence & own transport,
*Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger role, accounts / bookkeeping experience,
*Ability to work efficiently & accurately,
*Effective communication skills (written & verbal English),
*Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
*Excellent planning, organisational & deadline time keeping skills,
*Strong IT skills incl. Sage, Xero & MS Excel.
