Job Description

Our client a well established manufacturing business that have been trading for over 150 years and to this day remain family owned are looking to experience an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk

The role:
⦁ Register Purchase Ledger Invoices onto AX12
⦁ Register invoices/credit notes with call offs
⦁ Register invoices/credit notes with nominal codes
⦁ Register car/lorry invoices
⦁ Correct errors on previously registered invoices
⦁ Distribute to managers for authorisation
⦁ Approval of invoices on AX12
⦁ Approve invoices with call-offs
⦁ Speak to relevant purchaser regarding issues with invoice approval issues
⦁ Approve invoices with nominal codes ensuring that invoices are coded to the correct cost centres
⦁ Filing of invoices once they are approved
⦁ Weekly BACS payment run
⦁ Reconcile accounts to Supplier statements and resolve differences
⦁ Prioritise payments to avoid disruption to supplies
⦁ Ensure supplier bank details are correct
⦁ Produce weekly payment runs to an agreed spend and send out remittances

Other Duties:
⦁ Process credit application forms.
⦁ Setting up supplier accounts and request approvals.
⦁ Raising and posting purchase ledger cheques
⦁ Cover for Purchase Ledger colleagues as and when required.

The Package:
Staff are required to undertake any other task that is deemed reasonable within their skill set

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
