Location: Loughborough

Summary

Working exclusively with our Client, a leading manufacturer – based in Loughborough – is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, capable & friendly Accounts Payable Assistant person to join their finance team ASAP on a full-time temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after supplier invoices & staff expense claims together with the following:

 

The Role

  • Posting of all supplier invoices and staff expenses on to Sage,
  • Using Sage 200 PO system, ensuring all supplier invoices / staff expenses are appropriately authorised for payment,
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders, recording goods received notes & maintaining purchase filing system,
  • Promptly resolving queries on purchase invoices,
  • Building & maintaining relationships with key strategic suppliers,
  • Preparing supplier payment runs,
  • Supplier statement reconciliations,
  • Review of the aged creditors reports & following up on queries,
  • Assisting with period-end close & monthly reporting (as required),
  • Supporting the Management Accountant in managing cash-flow forecasting,
  • Proposing & implementing improvements throughout the Purchase-To-Pay process, ensuring efficiencies are improved where possible as we continue to scale,
  • Count & reconcile petty cash accounts,
  • Ensure the accuracy of GRNI & GIRN accruals for month-end processing.

 

The Right Person

  • Must be immediately available to start / on very short notice,
  • Experience using Sage 200,
  • Minimum of two years demonstrable accounts payable experience is essential,
  • Numerate with an excellent attention to detail,
  • A fast learner with a proactive mindset,
  • Excellent planning, organisation and deadline time keeping skills,
  • Effective & confident communication skills (written & verbal).

 

Package

  • Appointment Type: Temporary-To-Permanent
  • Salary: £20,000 – £24,000 per annum / £10.26 – £12.31 per hour (subject to experience)
  • Hours: Full-Time
  • Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
  • NEST Pension
