Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Leicester Salary £45,000 to £65,000
The Role
Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester – is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet,
- Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal,
- Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts & audit packs for a range of businesses.
- Assisting with monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts,
- Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports,
- Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies
- Management of credit limits.
The Right Person
- Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience,
- Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules,
- Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage,
- Knowledge of Payroll & CIS would be advantageous,
- Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
- Numerate, analytical with attention to detail,
- Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines.
- Experienced gained in construction, contracting or plant hire would be a distinct advantage
